Staying Always In the Lord.”

Children’s Ministry Mission Statement

Springs of Life Children’s Ministry will be purpose driven ministry where children will be valued, respected, loved, and shown grace. Our children will grow in their relationship with Jesus through personal devotions, study, worship and prayer as they are disciple by our Children’s Ministry volunteers. Our children will be provided with every opportunity to experience Jesus and grow in their relationship with Jesus as their personal Savior.

Children’s Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is divided into four groups:  Baby Sailfish Nursery (0-2), 23 Skidoo (2-3), Surf Riders (4/5/K), and Jesus’ Clipper Crew (JCCrew) (1st – 5th).  After you check in your children at the KidCheck station, you can take them to class at 8:20am or 10:20am.

(KidCheck is Window based children’s check in system.  It provides for streamlined check-in, improve security, and additional peace of mind.)

The Baby Sailfish Nursery:  Your precious little babies, through 2-year-olds, are welcome here to play and be loved on.  When you drop your little ones off, you will receive a pager so we can call you back if needed.  While you enjoy Worship and the Word, your little ones will hear that Jesus loves them through “Read and Share” Bible lessons and worship with the “Praise Baby” collection.  Snacks are provided.

Please make teachers aware of specific dietary restrictions.  At present, both the nursery and the toddler rooms are gluten, dairy and peanut free.

The 23 Skidoo:  Welcome to your 2-3 yr. olds!  We love to learn about all kinds of things like who God is, how much He loves us, and how to pray.   We work on memory verses, do crafts together, and learn how to follow Jesus.  We use the Kidmo Lil’K curriculum and snacks are provided. Make sure you check out the fun Lil’K MAP book, sent home weekly, to help you re-enforce the memory verses and lessons taught each Sunday.

Please make teachers aware of specific dietary restrictions.  At present, both the nursery and the toddler rooms are gluten, dairy and peanut free.

The Surf Riders: Your 4-5-Kindergarten are in for fun learning.  Each week we will soak in the truth of the word of God, know it by heart, so we can follow it with all of our hearts, through fun, wild and crazy adventures with the Faith Case curriculum.  We re-enforce each lesson with games and acting out Scripture lessons.  Be sure to spend time throughout the week, reviewing each week’s lesson with the “take home” page sent home every Sunday.

JCCrew: This group is made up of 1st – 5th graders. We dive in to learn “What’s in the Bible”  This curriculum teaches history, truth, and life applications of God’s word with zany, fast-paced characters, music, and stories.  “What’s in the Bible” sets the stage for real discussions about the truth – with a bunch of fun mixed in AND memorizing the Word of God.  Remember to review the “Go Home” page for family discussion points throughout the week.

Summer Camp:   The Foursquare Church is extremely proud and supportive of its camping programs. The Heartland District of Foursquare (that’s our district) has a campground in the Chicago area called Camp Hickory.  It hosts weeks of summer and winter camps for elementary kids, youth groups, young adults, and people being equipped for ministry. We at Springs of Life actively support the summer camp programs and encourage all of our kids (and adults who are interested) to get involved.
